Sunday morning as we walked through the front door and into the lobby of our Worship Center there was a wheelchair with the note the size of a poster that read something to the effect of, “Home with the Lord.” Sometimes we forget that one of the ways God heals is in allowing us to go home to be with him. This is probably the hardest of all the ways of healing for us to grasp. I know it’s odd to think of dying as “healing” but God promises us we will get a heavenly body when we go home to be with him….so in my mind I consider it healing.
Today we are having the funeral for Glenda Kenfield. Glenda has been a member of our church for years now. She struggled with MS and over the past few months had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Late this past Thursday night she passed away. Her husband Harvey is what some call a saint. Honestly I don’t know Harvey that well. Mark wrote a great post on Harvey though that is worth reading.
