As I was looking over the site of the creators of the Mt. Dew Tree they ask that you do not post their pictures without permission. However there’s not copyright on them I’m guessing in large part due the fact that Mt. Dew is a copyrighted trademark of Pepsi Co. However I am deciding to pull the pictures down since they ask not to post them on their website. However their video on YouTube can be found here. You can visit the site of the creators of the Mt. Dew Tree here.
**Post edit – Tuesday December 11** I get no credit whatsoever in this thing. This is not my idea at all. I received the pictures in an email that didn’t say who came up with this or anything. The guys that created this can be found at www.MDTree.com. Check their site out. It’s even better.

Okay, even this old married lady thinks this tree is pretty cool. But I’d make it out of Coke cans! LOL
Cute, thanks for sharing
That actually looks pretty cool! Remember to recycle those when Christmas is over…
You’ve been Dugg!
THIS IS TRULY A THING OF GREAT BEAUTY!!!!!
so true…so true.
haha, thats great. I definitely put this on stumble upon
haha. thanks. spread it around. email it people. I’ve gotten around 90 hits just from this thread alone today. well over 100 in the past 2 days. so funny.
awesome, hope he washed those out first.
JK – yeah no kidding. I am so doing this next year.
Hope – thanks for stumbling this. I had 3, 299 hits alone on this one thread. so cool.
nice. love it! all i can think of is harold and kumar right now–and the extreme mountain dew crew.
I have been saving Heineken bottles for a non-Tannenbaum construct. I may just have to divert the mission supplies for a Yule appearance.
haha. good luck with that.
Would you consider including these photos in NowPublic’s “12 Days of Newsmas” holiday contest?? They’re brilliant. You can upload them here: http://tinyurl.com/3427o5 . Thanks!
any details? type of wire to support the cans and lights? PVC tubing for center pylon? height of ‘tree’?
i see a drill in the first picture. used to drill holes in the pylon? in the cans to hold some kind of wire stop (back), and/or to keep the can from rattling (front)?
amazing ingenuity and vision.
any estimate on how many cans it took?
in my state, you can get 5¢ a can even with holes drilled in them.
hey you should give the credit to whom its due, http://mdewtree.com were the creators.
Chris – hey man. I just got these pics in an email yesterday and it didn’t say where they came from. Honestly I’ve been really busy today so I didn’t get a chance to Google it. Believe me I am giving credit to the creators of it. It’s pretty stinking cool. I’ll update the post.
Now that’s a mountain of Dew.
pretty darn cool
It’s like, God has sent us a tree graced by his hand and that is it.

If you go to http://mdewtree.com/ it says “Do not rip the images and post them on your own site without permission.”
Now that you know this, you should really take these photos down.
so how many cans did you use again? and how long did it take to build?
sorry my bad, will visit the other site
It would have been a real bachelor christmas tree, if it was made out of Heineken cans. Mtn Dew cans are just nerdy.
So you ruined a perfectly good festivus pole?
Not very Bachelor… christ if my girlfriend made a tree I might expect a soft drink. You should be ashamed…
