My journey to 100: Week 6

6 weeks down.  It feels good to say that.  This week was a slow weight loss week.  I changed my diet a little bit and I think that has something to do with it.  I went from 1200 calories in a day to 2000.  I really think my body just needed to get used to the increase in calories more than anything.

Here is a rundown of my weigh ins so far.

  • Week 1 - 397
  • Week 2 - 390
  • Week 3 - 384
  • Week 4 - 377
  • Week 5 - 371
  • Week 6 - 367

So that’s 30 pounds lost in 6 weeks.  I feel pretty good about that.  Hopefully this next week will be a better week for me.   Thanks for hanging in there and praying for me through this time.

Hey, four pounds is still a good drop! When I went from about 1000-1200 calories a day to 1800-2000 calories (because the doctor chewed me out over it!), I didn’t lose anything for a week, and then I started dropping the weight again once my body began to trust that this was the amount of food it was going to be getting every day. : ) It takes a few days to get used to things. You’re doing awesome!

    Ben,

Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m always trying to improve my blog and it’s good to hear positive feedback from time to time.

As far as my weight loss - yeah man it’s been a great journey so far. Ultimately I am shooting for 100 pounds by September. It’s pretty crazy but I have some great support so it’s been easier for me.

I checked out your blog as well. My advice for you and getting to where you can fit back into your lose army shirt is increase your goal in short increments and bust your tail. honestly healthy eating is the way to go. If you want to chat further about it let me know.
