mixing life and ministry…

it’s official…

I have to start working out again.  I’m debating buying a membership to a gym vs buying a bike and saving money in the long run.  If I buy a memebership to a gym I’ll have to drive 20 miles round trip to get there and back and with gas at $4/ gallon I’d rather not.

So now I’m in the market for a sweet mountain bike again.  This time it will be a keeper.  Anyone know where I can get a Gary Fisher around Storm Lake….I love those bikes.

    Hey
I have to go to Ames IA on Monday June 30th and just wanted to check if you have anything still in Ogallala that you need taken your way. I have a company truck that I’ll be taking to a jobsite in Ames.
Hope everything is going great there.

    Hey Chris,
I sure don’t know of any Gary Fishers in Iowa, but I have this sweet one that gets me back and forth to work everyday that I got for cheap.

Thanks for that by the way.

    How are things going?

    Blessings

  3. Good to hear! I was wondering at the lack of Journey to 100 posts – but I figured it was because of all the chaos of moving and changing jobs and all that. : )

Mattew – Yeah thanks for checking in though. Man with all of the stuff that’s been going on the past month or so it was easy to get sidetracked. I’ve still be eating good and haven’t gained hardly any of the lost weight back…so that’s awesome. Now I just gotta get started again. I’m still excited about dropping another 50. I know what has happened so far has been huge and I want to keep that going.

Clear Lake has a cycle shop on the south shore called Lakeside Cyclery (641.357.4660). They carry Raleigh and Diamondback DIRT CHEAP. The Mojave line from Raleigh is really nice and has great components. I weigh about 240 and I have a 8.0 that is plenty beefy for a guy my size. It’s probably 90 minutes from you, but well worth the trip or at least giving them a call. Mason City has a GF dealer (GF and Trek are the same company). Not cheap but nice bikes.

  6. @ werms – thanks. I’ll definitely check it out.
